Windows Phone 7 Review: Ladies and Gentlemen, We Have Ourselves a Race
Great news early on the Windows Phone 7 front. Despite the AT&T disaster, I will have one in my hot little hands soon.

First generation Windows Phone 7s won’t be on Verizon or Sprint | ZDNet
Uh oh. My hatred of AT&T is so great, I may skip the first wave of WP7 phones and wait for the CDMA versions. This is a serious bummer and makes me fear for the platform.

Windows Phone 7 released to manufacturing
Very good news. Many of us are waiting patiently for this release of Windows Mobile. There has been lots of hype about it and all the early reviews are positive. About the only thing that can screw this up now would be releasing it on the wrong carrier *cough* AT&T *cough*. Are you listening Sprint and Verizon? Just make it happen!
Microsoft adds new printing, charting features to Office Web Apps | ZDNet
This is very good news. For some deranged reason, printing was omitted from the original release. That is not quite as deranged as the removal of the “New” button in the paid SharePoint version of the same solution, but don’t even get me started on that. Anyway, if you haven’t tried this, you really should. It is one of the coolest things to come along in some time.

Meet QB, Your New Robotic Coworker
Now THIS is odd, though I can totally see me using something like this. It would likely freak out some people in the office but I think the idea is awesome. I wonder if they need any beta testers?

Looks like these are the screens of the release candidate. That is pretty darned close to released code, so these are probably accurate. Not sure I dig the all-black color scheme, but I am sure that is something that can be changed. It looks almost identical to the Zune HD operating system and that is a very good thing. That OS is slick, fast and stable. The only thing that continues to worry me about Windows Phone 7 is the availability of CDMA. All the screen shots I have seen reference GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile) and that would be a shame. I don’t need to tell you again of my hatred for AT&T wireless.
Anyway, this is a phone that I am really looking forward to and hope to have one of the very first copies in my hot little handle in the fall.
